I grew up in the Great Lakes region and have lived in various parts of the country until I settled down in New Mexico in 2002.
In 1991, I received my bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After graduation, I spent two years in Japan, where I studied Japanese language, history, and culture while working for Biwako-Kisen.
In 1998, I graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University School of Law, receiving the distinction of Order of the Coif and the Lemle Kelleher award for the top graduate in the Admiralty Program. While in law school, I served on the Maritime Law Journal and was on the Appellate Law Clinic.
After graduation, I was admitted to the Alaska State Bar, and practiced in general insurance defense and special education law before relocating toNew Mexico.
I worked for West Publishing Company for many years prior to becoming licensed in New Mexico in 2014. I am admitted to the New Mexico state courts, the New Mexico Federal District Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
When not practicing law, I enjoy hiking and camping in many of the beautiful mountain ranges in our state, spending time with my children, and helping others make positive changes in their lives.
