I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with honors. During my undergraduate years at KU, I was active in the Golden Key Honour Society, Psi Chi psychology honor society, and was a Phi Beta Kappa national academic honor society member.  In 2004, I completed my senior’s honor thesis, The Effect of Informants on Trial Verdicts. I received my Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas in 2007, where I served on the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. I was the 2007 winner of the Excellence for the Future Award in the area of Health Law and Policy.

Immediately prior to joining the firm, I was a shareholder at another local civil litigation defense firm, practicing in the areas of complex civil litigation, medical negligence and liability, general litigation, and insurance coverage at the pretrial, trial, appellate, and dispute resolution levels. From the years 2008 to 2011, I prosecuted various misdemeanor and felony matters as an Assistant District Attorney for the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

When not practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, hiking, and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks.
